FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
This treatment takes about 45 minutes to complete.
There can be slight to moderate down time with this treatment. Chemical peels can be done at different depths — light, medium or deep — depending on your desired result. The deeper the peel strength the longer the downtime. The treated area may be pink/rosy, and potentially sensitive post-treatment due to stimulation of the skin. As it is an exfoliating treatment, it is possible for the skin to be dry and possibly flaky 1-5 days after your treatment as the skin regenerates depending on the type of peel and intensity. We recommend not to wash the skin or apply makeup for the rest of the day after treatment.
With every exfoliation treatment, please avoid direct sun exposure for a minimum of 2 weeks after your treatment and be diligent with wearing SPF.
Immediately after the treatment skin will feel smooth and skin will look glowing. Results will be noticed up to 7-12 days after treatment, depending on peel type/intensity and the individual’s skin regenerating time. To achieve desired results a series of peels may have to be done.
